Our Cleaning Tips

Removing a Stain

I am pretty sure we all have had a "OOPS" moment. The major question is how can we get the spill cleaned? First step, you should not leave the spill in the carpet for too long. The longer you delay the harder removing the stain becomes. SO ACT FAST!

Keep in mind if the stain can't be fully removed the carpet stain can still be improved. View steps below:

  1. Act Fast
  2. Blot liquid with white cloth or white paper towel *Do not use color cloth or color paper towel, color may fade into carpet*
  3. Once liquid is removed rinse with light water and damp clean white cloth, blot again until dry
  4. Repeat if necessary

If you are still having problems just book your appointment today. Our professionals at VCS will clean more than just a stain.

Cleaning Recommendations

Below are simple cleaning recommendations brought to you by VCS Carpet Cleaning.  We know you are busy with more important things throughout your day than keeping carpet clean. Here are some simple reminders.
  • Change the postion of your furniture sometimes, by doing this you will decrease traffic ware areas on your carpet. Even with regular vacuuming soil particles and oily dirt will cling to carpet fibers.  Foot traffic drives these particles and dirt deep into the carpet.
  • We recommend every 12 to 18 months to have your carpet cleaned. This will refresh the carpets appearance. We clean carpet in Utah, clean air ducts in Utah, pet stains in Utah, and pretty much everything else, so feel free to book your appointment today!
  • While cleaning any stain start with water with no soap. Soap has oils with it that will attract more dirt to the area. Just be more cautious with what you clean a stain with, too much of anything can damage your carpet and that includes water.

Regular Vacuuming | Cleaning Tips

Most dirt, and even dust, takes the form of hard particles. When left in the carpet, these gritty sharp particles abrade the pile of the carpet. Regular vacuuming not only prolongs the life of the carpet but will enhance its appearance as well. Most soiling in carpet is of dry particle type which can be removed with a vacuum cleaner.
The key is to vacuum high-traffic areas daily, medium-to-high traffic areas twice weekly, and the entire house at least once a week.
